RomaniaXReader: Special Night

You awoke the next morning, the sun almost in the middle of the sky. You raised a hand in front of your face to block the blinding rays as you got up from the patio chair. The blanket slid off of you and hit the ground without a sound. You stepped over it and looked down at the chair Vlad had occupied the night before, seeing nothing but a piece of paper. You picked it up and read the words written on it. 'Sorry for not being here when you awoke, ________. I have some allergies, you see...So, I had to leave. I will be back tonight, though. I hope you can forgive me for not saying goodbye.' was written on it, and underneath, there was another sentence that you could just barely read. It read, 'Also, be sure to wear something nice tonight. We're going out somewhere. -Love Vlad'  You smiled and picked up the banket from the ground, folding it up nicely before picking up the note and taking both things inside with you. You placed the blanket in the closet down the hall and went downstairs to eat.

A little while later, as the sky turned shades pink and indigo, you decided to get ready for your "date" with Vlad tonight. "He said to dress nicely, right?" you asked your kitten. The small Persian seemed to nod in response, purring lightly. You petted it, then opened your closet to find something to wear. "Hmm..." you hummed, picking up two hangers occupied by two beautiful dresses that you hadn't worn much, so they looked brand-new. "What do you think, Stella?" you asked the kitten as you held both dresses up to yourself, "Red or White?" The kitten hopped down from its perch on your stack of books and pawed at the red one. You smiled softly and bent down to pet your furry friend, "Alright. Red it is." you said, placing the white one back in the closet and going to change into the other.

You came back out of the room a few minutes later in a lovely, blood red dress that went to just above your knees. You twirled around and smiled, "What do you think? Too dressy?" but the kitten was fast asleep. You giggled a bit, "I suppose that means, 'it looks fine, you don't need my help anymore...'?" You smiled and walked off to the bathroom, leaving the kitten to rest.

You finally heard a knock at the door as you were finishing up your make up. "Come on in!" you yelled from the bathroom, hearing the door open and shut again.

"__________?" you heard from the front room.

"Be there in a sec!" you replied, finally finished. You walked out to the front room and smiled as you saw Vlad standing there.

"Wow. I see you got my note." He said, walking over to you. He grabbed your hand and kissed it, "You look wonderful."

You blushed slightly, "Not too dressy, I hope."

"Not at all" he said, "Shall we go?"

You nodded and he led you out the door and into the cool night air. "Where are we going?" you asked, but he merely put a finger to his lips and kept walking. 'Hmm. A surprise, I guess.'  you thought, looking around at the scenery.

A while later, you both stopped in front of what looked like a recently-abandoned manor. "Is this where we were going?" you asked, and he nodded in response.

"Welcome to my home..." he said, opening the door for you. You both walked inside and you looked around at the beautiful interior.

"Wow. Your house is so beautiful." you said, still admiring the place.

"Thank you. I remodeled it myself." He told you, "But, allow me to show you to my favorite room." He took your hand and led you off to the middle of the house. He threw open a pair of double doors and led you into a large room decorated by candlelight. "This is my favorite place. The ballroom..." he said, leading you inside, "Now you see why I wanted you to dress up" He smiled, bringing you to the middle of the room. He held out a hand to you and bowed, "Now, will you dance with me?"

You placed your hand in his and you started to dance. You didn't mind the lack of music, you just followed the fluttering of your heart caused by your vampire counterpart. Everything was like a dream, the ballroom, the man you love dancing with you, it all seemed so perfect... until you missed a step.

The two of you fell to the ground. He fell on top of you, then got up slightly, "Well, this brings back memories..." he said, smirking. You blushed a bit, remembering the first time you two met. You never really thought you would meet the man of your dreams in a dark alleyway, but you did. And honestly, you wouldn't have it any other way.

Vlad got up and held out a hand to you to help you up. You grabbed his hand and he pulled you up off the ground. You dusted yourself off, "Sorry, I'm so clumsy..."

He chuckled softly, "Don't worry about it." he said, wrapping his arms around you, "It happens to the best of us sometimes." He backed up slightly and grabbed both your hands, then started to walk backwards, leading you outside. "This is the last place I wanted to show you." he said. He pointed to the sky, "You have a wonderful view of the moon from here." he told you, and he was right. You had a clear view of the moon from the balcony. You just stared at the moon, unaware that Vlad had hugged you from behind and was going in for a bite.

You turned your head , but you were too late. He bit your neck, then drew back. "W-what did you do that for?!" you panicked, but he hushed you.

"You still believe in those myths? Look, ­­­_________, a bite won't turn you into a vampire." He told you, "They just tell you that to scare you." He layed his head on your shoulder, looking at you.

"Wait, really?" you asked in disbelief.

He nodded, "Yeah. You're not changing, are you?"

"True..." you said, not feeling anything stange happen. You yawned. Was it really that late already? You looked up at the moons position in the sky, seeing it was almost in the middle of the sky by now.

"Tired already?" you heard Vlad ask. You nodded. "Come on. I have a room and some spare clothes you can borrow." he told you, smiling softly as he pulled you back towards the ballroom.

"Are you sure?" you asked, "I could always walk ho-" "I insist." he interrupted,"Besides, you know what happens when you walk around at night..."

"I guess you're right." you said, giving in.

He led you to a spare room he had and handed you some pajamas. "Here you go, _________" he said, pulling you close and giving you a kiss, "Have pleasant dreams." He smiled and closed the door behind him, leaving you alone in the room. You quickly changed and got into the bed, until you saw a note slide under the door. You got up from the bed and went to the door, picking up the piece of paper. It read, 'I hope you had fun tonight, and I hope you sleep well. Meet me in the main hall when you wake up tomorrow. -Vlad'  You smiled and walked back over to the bed, placing the note on the nightstand next to you. Yawning, you finally got under the covers and fell asleep.
